HISTORY

In July 2005, people passionated by Space and Satellite decided to create an independent institute aiming at promoting solutions involving satellite-based solutions.

At these very early stages, these people were :

- Mr Philippe BOISSAT (President and Co-Founder, 3i3s)
- General Daniel GAVOTY (Major General, Air Force, Co-Founder of 3i3s)
- Mrs Florence BERNARDON (President of Public Relations Agency DECIDE)
- Mr Dan ARBOGAST (Vice-President Sales & Marketing, SCRIPTO)

3i3s (International Independent Institute for Space and Satellite Solutions) was thus created and, since then, the 3i3s Committee has been making 3i3s benefiting from his tremendous network and extensive experience in the Space and Satellite fields.

The 3i3s spine is composed with :

- A network
- A database of News, Events and Technology Dossiers
- Projects in Humanitarian, Health and Education fields

Several internationally recognized projects have been successfully initiated and realized since 3i3s creation.

In January 2009, and following the international successes met by 3i3s, the 3i3s Committee has decided to make 3i3s more specific by continent. This has led to the idea of "3i3s Africa" (among the other continental structures : USA, Europe, Asia, South America, Australia).

After two months of intensive preparations, "3i3s Africa" was officially launched on March,16th,2009.
